Description:The speculum is designed to dilate the vagina when examining the vaginal mucosa, cervix uteri and to provide access to the vaginal mucosa and cervix uteri when performing various therapeutic and diagnostic manipulations, as well as to assess the pH of the vaginal environment (pH level below 4.5/pH level above 4.5).
The speculum consists of transparent upper and lower blades connected by a joint and a swivel fixator. The fixation of the opening of speculum blades is ensured by turning the fixator by 90°. The speculum is available in three versions with different widths of the blades and the color of the fixator from biologically inert plastic.
The speculum blade has two indicators. The active indicator is applied to a hydrophilic base and is designed to assess the pH level of the vaginal environment (the indicator colour is blue). The control indicator does not change its color (blue-green) depending on the pH level of the vaginal environment and is meant to assess the change in color of the active indicator.
It is supplied sterile and ready for use.
