Description:The pessary is intended for non-surgical treatment of prolapse and descend of female genital organs. The pessary is most often used in cases of prolapse of the anterior vaginal wall (stages 1-4 according to POP-Q). The pessary is inserted into the vagina and provides support for the female genital organs.
The pessary is designed as an open ring, one end of which is made in form of a thickening with an internal hole of a complex shape - a “lock”. The “lock” is designed to fix the opposite (free) end of the pessary, on which the “teeth” are located. Pessaries are manufactured from elastic biologically inert medical silicone.
The pessary is supplied non-sterile, in an open state. Before the first and each subsequent use of the pessary, it must be carefully treated. The selection of the size and the first insertion of the pessary must be performed by a medical specialist.
