Description:The pessary is intended for non-surgical treatment of prolapse and descend of female genital organs. The fungiform pessary is most often used in cases of complete or almost complete prolapse of genital organs (stages 3-4 according to POP-Q), when other pessaries are not effective. The pessary is inserted into the vagina and creates support for the female genitals.
Silicone pessary: fungiform has a “stipe” with a thickening at its base and a concave “cap” with holes for the outflow of vaginal discharge. The “stipe” is designed to remove the pessary from the vagina. Pessaries are manufactured from elastic biologically inert medical silicone.
The pessary is supplied non-sterile. Before the first and each subsequent use of the pessary, it must be thoroughly treated. The selection of the size and the first insertion of the pessary must be performed by a medical specialist. This model of pessary is intended for short-term use (duration of continuous use not more than 12 hours).
