Description:The contraceptive is a closed circle made from polymeric material with an internal stem around which a bimetallic copper wire with silver core is wound. A monofilament thread is attached to control the placement of the device in the uterus and remove the IUD.
X-ray and ultrasound contrast are provided by the presence of the wire. The method of insertion of IUD is the method of “withdrawal”, the diameter of the insertion tube is not more than 5 mm.
The contraceptive is supplied sterile in the final packaging which together with the instructions for use is placed into the secondary packaging.
